Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of the differentiated learning model on improving the mathematical creative thinking of seventh-grade students at As-Sutirah Islamic Junior High School in the 2024/2025 academic year, particularly in algebraic forms. The method used in this study was a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experimental design. The subjects in this study were 20 seventh-grade students from SMP Islam Kebangsaan As-Sutirah. The instrument used was an essay test with indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration in creative thinking. Hypothesis testing was conducted using a one-tailed t-test. The results showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. The tvalue of 10.47 was greater than the ttable value of 2.09 at a significance level of 0.05 and degrees of freedom (df) = 19. These findings indicate that the differentiated learning model has an effect on improving students' mathematical creative thinking skills in algebraic forms.
