This study was motivated by the low level of students’ interest in learning mathematics, which has negatively affected their mathematics learning outcomes. This condition is reflected in students’ low attendance during mathematics lessons and their lack of attention during the instructional process, resulting in difficulties in responding to questions posed by the teacher. This study aimed to examine the effect of learning interest and aptitude on the mathematics learning outcomes of students at SMP Satap Negeri Maumolo. The population and sample of this study consisted of all eighth-grade students at SMP Satap Negeri Maumolo, totaling 25 students. Data were collected using questionnaires and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using inferential statistics through simple linear regression analysis. The results indicated that the calculated t value was 1.429 with a significance value of 0.001. At a significance level of α = 0.05 (0.001 < 0.05), the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was accepted. The resulting regression equation was Ŷ = 11.706 + 2.362X. Therefore, it can be concluded that learning interest and aptitude have a significant effect on students’ mathematics learning outcomes at SMP Satap Negeri Maumolo.
