Kemampuan Literasi Matematika Siswa SMP/Mts Pada Pembelajaran Matematika Menggunakan PMRI Konteks Situasi Laskar Pelangi

The purpose of this study was to describe how students' mathematical literacy skills are. The subjects of the study were 32 students of class VIII.4 at MTs Negeri 1 Ogan Ilir who were classified into mathematical ability levels. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The data in this study were obtained from the results of observations, tests, and interviews. The test used was a mathematical literacy ability test related to discount and tiered discount material which consisted of 6 questions and referred to the PISA mathematical literacy ability indicators. Students' mathematical literacy abilities can be measured through their answers to the test questions given. Based on the test results, students in the group with low mathematical ability (S9) are at level 2 of mathematical literacy, students in the middle ability group (S3) reach level 4, while students with high ability (S1) are at level 6. Based on the test results, there were 2 subjects who were able to solve questions up to level 6, 5 subjects were able to complete levels 3 to 4 and 25 subjects were only able to complete levels 1 and 2. Because the research subjects were mostly low-ability, it can be said that the mathematical literacy skills of MTs 1 Ogan Ilir students are still relatively low.
