Studi Literatur: Pengaruh Penerapan Project Based Learning terhadap pengembangan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Peserta Didik
Abstract
In Indonesia, students are not directed enough to hone their critical thinking skills because the learning system is still not optimal. The increasingly complex challenges of the real world will not be easily overcome by students whose critical thinking skills are not honed. One of the cognitive abilities that is important for students in analyzing information in depth, distinguishing facts and opinions, evaluating arguments, and making decisions based on strong reasons is critical thinking skills. An appropriate learning model needs to be applied so that students are able to develop their critical thinking skills optimally, one of which is the project-based learning model (Project Based Learning). This study aims to examine the effect of implementing Project Based Learning (PjBL) on the development of students' critical thinking skills. This research uses a literature study method. This research was conducted by collecting and analyzing seven (7) scientific articles relevant to the topic "The Effect of Implementing Project Based Learning on the Development of Students' Critical Thinking Skills". The articles were published between 2014-2024, obtained through the Google Scholar database. The results of the research show that PjBL is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills, concentration, peer interaction with educators. Qualitative data shows that the PjBL learning model can develop critical thinking, conceptual understanding, and students' ability to make decisions based on available information.
