Abstract

The learning model can be interpreted as a learning framework to design the learning process in the classroom to achieve certain goals. Approaches, methods, and learning techniques are packaged in the learning model. One of the methods, and learning techniques are packaged in the learning model. One of the methods that will be used is Problem Based Learning. The problem that can be applied from this method is about the combination of local cultural wisdom with mathematical concepts which can be called ethnomathematics. This article aims to find out the relationship between culture and mathematical concepts using the Problem Based Learning method. The results of ethnomathematics and Problem Based Learning can improve students' understanding and skills in solving problems, improve mathematical literacy, and understand culture from a mathematical perspective.
