Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran STEM dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Matematis
Abstract
This study examines the effectiveness of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) teaching model in improving students' mathematical creative thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of applying the STEM approach in the context of mathematics education in schools. Using a quasi-experimental method, this study involved students with different educational backgrounds to measure the improvement of their creative thinking ability after following STEM-based learning. The results showed that the integration of STEM methods significantly improved students' mathematical creative thinking ability. Students who participated in learning activities that incorporated elements of science, technology, engineering and math showed improvement in their ability to solve problems and generate innovative ideas. In addition, this study also identified factors that influence the success of the STEM learning model, including teacher support and a supportive learning environment. Thus, this article recommends the use of STEM learning models as an effective strategy to enhance students' creativity and innovation in mathematics and provides guidance to educators in designing curriculum that better meets the needs of students in the modern era.
