Abstract

Latar Belakang Seorang ibu dalam periode setelah melahirkan (postpartum) cenderung mengalami gangguan mental yang cukup besar karena keterbatasan kondisi fisik yang membatasi aktivitasnya. Ibu yang tidak berhasil menyesuaikan diri terhadap adanya perubahan, baik perubahan secara biologis, fisiologis maupun psikologis, termasuk perubahan peran, maka akan cenderung mengalami emosional  pasca  persalinan. Setelah melahirkan biasanya ibu rentan mengalami gangguan emosional, hal ini bisa disebabkan karena adaptasi fisik dan psikologis ibu selama periode postpartum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui status kesehatan mental ibu postpartum.

Metode Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif. Dalam hal ini penelitian tentang status kesehatan mental ibu postpartum. Teknik pengambilan sampling menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 69 orang. Adapun kriteria inklusif adalah ibu nifas yang dengan persalinan normal dan sectio caesarea. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Kuesioner Self Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ) 29-item.

Hasil penelitian seluruh responden (100%) tidak menunjukkan adanya gangguan mental emosional (GME), gangguan terkait NAPZA, maupun gangguan psikotik. Namun, dalam hal PTSD sebanyak 68 responden (98,6%) tidak mengalami kondisi ini, sementara hanya 1 responden (1,4%) yang mengalami PTSD. Kesimpulan Mayoritas ibu postpartum memiliki kesehatan mental yang baik dalam beberapa hari pertama setelah melahirkan. Namun, tetap ada sebagian kecil yang mengalami PTSD. Hasil ini menekankan pentingnya dukungan dan monitoring kesehatan mental secara terus-menerus bagi ibu postpartum untuk memastikan kesejahteraan ibu dan bayi. Dukungan yang adekuat dan layanan kesehatan mental yang komprehensif sangat diperlukan untuk mencegah dan mengatasi gangguan mental pada ibu postpartum. Keperawatan jiwa memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam memberikan dukungan ini melalui pendekatan yang holistik dan berpusat pada pasien.
