Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how the Numbered Heads Together learning model influences students' understanding of mathematics concepts at SMP Negeri 4 Mauliru in Statistics material. This research is quasi-experimental research with a quantitative approach. This research involved 27 class VIIB students and used a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection uses a written test consisting of 3 description questions. Paired t-test and prerequisite tests (normality test and homogeneity test), were used to analyze the data. This was done with the help of the SPSS Statistics version 24 program. The results of data analysis showed that students' understanding of mathematical concepts was very different before and after treatment. The t test results show that p-value = 0.000 is less than α = 0.05. So, it can be concluded that the Numbered Heads Together learning model has a significant influence on the understanding of mathematical concepts of students at SMP Negeri 4 Mauliru in statistics material.
