Abstract

Low literacy and numeracy in mathematics, especially in geometry, is one of the challenges in education. To address this, a collaboration between the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model and Augmented Reality (AR) technology is proposed as an effective approach. PBL encourages students to be active in solving problems, while AR offers interactive visualizations that can facilitate the understanding of abstract geometry concepts. This research aims to present a literature study related to the effectiveness of implementing PBL in collaboration with AR in improving students' literacy and numeracy in geometry material. The method used in this study is Systematic Literature Review with journals used are journals published in 2017-2024 The results of the analysis show that the integration of these two methods is able to improve students' literacy and numeracy skills, especially in understanding complex geometry concepts. In addition, the use of AR in PBL is proven to strengthen student engagement in the learning process, as well as clarify visual representations that support the improvement of literacy and numeracy.
