Penerapan Project Based Learning Pada Pembelajaran Geometri Siswa Kelas IX MTsN 1 Ogan Ilir
Abstract
This study aims to describe how the application of Project Based Learning (PjBL) in geometry learning for grade IX students of MTsN 1 Ogan Ilir. The method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach, which involves observation during the learning process and interviews after the learning process is carried out. The subjects of the study were 36 grade IX.5 students of MTsN 1 Ogan Ilir. The researcher applied Project Based Learning (PjBL) in accordance with the syntax of PjBL so that in learning it increases student involvement. Based on the results of the analysis of research data through observation and interviews, it shows that the application of project-based learning can increase student activity, creativity, collaboration, and communication. In addition, students can produce projects with high precision values. Students construct their knowledge collaboratively to produce works that are the fruit of their creativity and innovation. Then they communicate and evaluate each other's work results. So that they get better knowledge from the learning experience that has been passed. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that project-based learning can be used as an alternative innovative learning strategy to achieve mathematics learning goals.
