Penerapan Pendekatan PMRI Menggunakan Konteks Perahu Ketek Materi Bilangan untuk Mengetahui Kemampuan Numerasi Siswa Kelas VII
Abstract
This study aims to determine the numeracy skills of seventh grade students through the application of PMRI with the context of the Numbers Material Ketek Boat. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative research method. The research subjects used were seventh grade students of SMP IT Menara Fitrah Ogan Ilir Regency totaling 22 students. Data analysis techniques in this study were carried out using qualitative analysis through observation, numeracy tests, and interviews. The written test consisted of two number material questions using the context of the Ketek Boat on the Musi River. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, on the numeracy ability indicator, 72.72% of students are able to use various kinds of numbers and symbols related to mathematics in various contexts of daily life, as many as 90.90% of students are able to analyze information displayed in various forms (graphs, tables, charts and so on), and 40.90% of students are able to interpret the results of the analysis to predict and make decisions. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that seventh grade students of Menara Fitrah Junior High School in Ogan Ilir Regency have moderate numeracy skills, where students are good enough in solving test questions on number material using the PMRI approach with the context of Ketek Boat on the Musi River and have succeeded in bringing up several indicators of numeracy skills.
