Abstract

Mathematics in 21st century education is important. To deal with existing problems, students need to have good mathematical skills, one of which is the ability to think creatively. In improving creative thinking skills, a suitable learning model is needed, such as the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. Project Based Learning (PjBL) requires creative thinking skills in students to produce a project. 21st century education, especially in the independent curriculum, also needs to be accompanied by the use of technology, one of which is learning through applications. Math City Map is a math learning application in the independent curriculum that can support creative thinking skills. This study aims to determine how the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model to improve creative thinking skills with the help of the Math City Map application to face 21st century education. The method used in this research is literature study. Literature study is conducted by analyzing relevant journals, books, proceedings, and articles. The results of this study indicate that the Project Based Learning Model assisted by Math City Map can improve students' creative thinking skills.
