About the Journal

BIO-EDU: Journal of Biology Education [e-ISSN 2527-6999] publishes scientific papers on research results and literature reviews in the field of biology education and biological science.

BIO-EDU: Journal of Biology Education is a periodical publication journal with (focus and scope of manuscripts) published consisting of research results and knowledge in the field of biology education and biological sciences. (Frequency of manuscript publication) is carried out by the Department of Biology Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Timor every 4 months (April, August, December) and is open access to encourage the dissemination of broad and inclusive knowledge (Open Access Policy).

Authors are required to submit two mandatory documents: the Article Template and the Copyright Transfer Statement. Subsequently, manuscripts and the accompanying statements must be uploaded through the online submission system in accordance with the prescribed Author Guidelines. All submitted manuscripts will undergo plagiarism screening using Turnitin, and only those demonstrating a similarity index below 25% will be considered for further processing (Similarity Check). For the May 2026 issue, the journal does not impose any Article Processing Charge (APC), and publication is provided free of charge.

BIO-EDU adopts an objective and transparent peer-review process, engaging qualified reviewers with relevant subject-matter expertise. The journal’s editorial management is conducted in strict adherence to established principles of publication ethics, following the guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Author must be fill out a statement of authenticity and copyright transfer with a stamped signature here. BIO-EDU: Journal of Biology Education will be published in volume 11, 2026. Announced to all readers, authors, and reviewers that Starting in 2026, Articles will be published three times a year (April, August, and December).
