BIO-EDU: Jurnal Pendidikan Biologi publishes original research articles primarily within the field of Biology Education at all educational levels (Priority), covering research related to teaching, learning, curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, educational innovation, and contemporary issues in Biology Education. The journal particularly welcomes original research addressing: (1) Biology Teaching and Pedagogy; (2) Design and Development Research in Biology Education; (3) Biology Education Curriculum and Learning Assessment; (4) Issues and Challenges in Biology Education; (5) Emerging Trends and Innovations in Biology Education; and (6) Biology Education in Indonesia's Border and Remote Areas.

In addition, BIO-EDU welcomes original research in Applied Biology, particularly studies that demonstrate clear relevance, educational implications, practical applications, or contributions to addressing broader societal challenges. Applied Biology manuscripts are expected to demonstrate a meaningful connection to education, learning resources, environmental or biological problem-solving, community development, or other educational and societal contexts.
