UJI TOKSISITAS IN VITRO METODE BSLT DAN TOKSISITAS AKUT ORAL EKSTRAK ETANOL KULIT BATANG PAKOBA (Syzygium luzonense (Merr.) Merr.)

Abstract
Pakoba merupakan tanaman endemik Sulawesi Utara yang dimanfaat secara etnomedikal untuk mengobati pengobatan diabetes, ramuan obat setelah melahirkan, obat sakit ginjal dan sakit perut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat toksisitas akut oral menggunakan tikus putih dan toksisitas secara in vitro metode Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) ekstrak etanol kulit batang pakoba (EEKBP). Hasil dari pengujian toksisitas metode BLST, EEKBP memiliki nilai LC50 = 380.19 ppm dan hasil uji toksisitas akut EEKBP dengan dosis 1.000, 5.000, 10.000, dan 15.000 ppm tidak menimbulkan gejala toksik dan kematian pada hewan uji. Perlu ada penelitian lanjut mengenai Fraksinasi EEKBP dilanjutkan dengan pengujian toksisitas metode BSLT dan aktivitas biologis dari masing-masing hasil fraksinasi.
