AUTHOR GUIDELINES
Article template Jurnal Pengabdian Sains dan Humaniora (JPSH) can be downloaded HERE. Authors are required to check off the instructions/guidelines from the editor for article submission.
The article submitted to JPSH must be written by a lecturer, a student, a teacher, and a practitioner in the education field. The manuscript should adhere to the template, focus, and scope of this journal. The manuscripts that do not follow the requirement may be returned to authors.
Article Category
The article to be considered for publication is an original written by authors that has not been previously published (or a paper from seminar is acceptable if it has been revised), nor been submitted to another journal for consideration. The manuscript is uploaded via OJS https://jurnal.unimor.ac.id/index.php/JPSH/submissions
General Guidelines
- Follow the author guidelines from JPSH [download] as a template.
- The title should be brief, accurate, and informative as it is the main idea of the article.
- The abstract is the window for the article. This is where the reader could peek at your article and decide whether to read or quote your content or find another article. The abstract should be informative and clear, giving a clear statement of the problem, the solution, the method, and the findings from the community service. The abstract consists of 100-200 words.
- The list of keywords gives you a chance to add more keywords that are useful for indexing. The right keywords are based on the article content, not only words from the title. Use the keywords wisely to increase article traffic and be easily found by the readers or researchers. The keywords consist of 4 or 6 words.
- The introduction should describe a clear background that covers a clear statement of the problem, the relevant literature related to the problem, an approach or solution to solve the problem, and research novelty. The introduction should be understood by all the readers from various knowledge backgrounds.
- Method: Explain the chronology of community service activity, including the design and procedure of the activity. The description must be supported by the references in applying a new method so that it could be accepted and valid scientifically.
- The result and discussion must explain the result of the data calculation and be discussed completely and comprehensively. The discussion must be supported by relevant theories and previous studies/community service, along with their similarities and contrasts.
- The conclusion presents the results of the community service in a clear statement. Make sure it is in sync with the premise in the introduction and expand its similarity and contrast compared to the previous studies. In addition, points out some prospects and future applications for further studies.
- Acknowledgements are conveyed as necessary, especially to the party providing funds for the implementation of the community service. Avoid excessive expressions of gratitude..
- Page numbers must be in sequence. For the English version, kindly use tool aids such as Grammarly to check the spelling, grammar, and vocabulary.
- Use italic words for foreign vocabulary in the Bahasa version.
- Tables and pictures are placed at the center of the text, with the table number and title on the top. The number and title are placed at the bottom of the picture.
- Include all in-text citations in the reference list. The references format refers to APA style and highly recommended to use Mendeley. The references should display a minimum of 20 sources, and 60% of them should be from SINTA-accredited community service journals. All references must use a bookmark, and the year is linked both in the manuscript's body and the reference section
- For two or more authors, one author must be pointed as a corresponding author and provide detailed contact info, such as an email address. Please consider that the manuscript that does not adhere to the requirement may be returned to be revised by the author. The editor will only consider a manuscript that meets the requirements.
Specific Guidelines
As an obligatory, authors are required to check off all these following guidelines, and the manuscript that do not follow the guidelines may be returned.
- The manuscript has not been published or submitted to another journal.
- The manuscript is typed in Microsoft Word file. It is typed on A4 and 1.15 space; Times New Roman font 12; no underline (except for URL address); and the figure, picture and table are being placed on the center position.
- The manuscripts that meet the requirements of these author guidelines will be processed to the next stage.
- The submission file has applied a similarity check previously to avoid plagiarism. JPSH uses Plagiarism CheckerX to check it, and it must be below 20% similarity.
