Abstract

Goats are one of the local livestock of North Central Timor Regency. The research aims to identify the application of Good Farming Practice (GFP) in raising goats in Biboki Anleu District, North Central Timor Regency. The respondents involved in this research were 77 goat breeders. The research method uses a survey method, namely conducting interviews with breeders and observing the management of goat farming. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis and frequency distribution. The variables in this research are the characteristics of breeders and the implementation of Good Farming Practices which includes aspects of facilities, production, environmental preservation, and supervision from related departments or agencies.The study's results showed that the average age of farmers was 49.83 years, the formal education level had completed elementary school, 42.5% were women, and 57.5% were men, the number of years of farming was 10.41 years, and the average number of livestock owned was 9.09 tail. Implementing GFP in facilities, production, environmental preservation, and supervision from related departments or agencies is still not good. This research concludes that applying GFP in goat farming in Biboki Anleu District is still not good.
