Management of Tubir Seram Island as a Tourist Attraction in Fakfak Regency, West Papua

Tubir Seram Island is located in Fakfak Regency, West Papua, which has very interesting natural and cultural potential to be used as a new tourist attraction. However, its management requires special attention in order to develop this potential sustainably, maintain environmental sustainability, and provide economic benefits to the surrounding community. The tourism sector in Fakfak Regency is still minimal in terms of tourism exploration, even though various natural potentials can be developed. The method used in this study is the survey method. The results of the study indicate that there is a positive impact on the management of Tubir Seram Island. This article examines the potential of Tubir Seram Island as a new tourist destination in Fakfak Regency and identifies the challenges and strategies for its management. Through a literature study approach and field analysis, it was found that the management of Tubir Seram Island must involve various stakeholders, pay attention to the principle of abundance, and carry out careful planning in the development of tourism facilities and infrastructure.
