Publication Ethics

The code of ethics in Range: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika follows the guidelines of the Head of LIPI Regulation Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications. The essence of this code of ethics is to uphold three ethical values ​​in publications, which are (a) Neutrality; being free from conflicts of interest in managing publications; (b) Justice; giving authorship rights to those entitled to be authors, and (b) Honesty; free from duplication, fabrication, falsification and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.

This code of ethics applies to all users of Range: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika, including the editorial team, reviewer team, and author.

Penalty
If the author is proven to have committed duplication, fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, or published one manuscript in two or more different journals, the author will be given penalty in the form of retraction of the article, cancellation of publication, and the author will be blacklisted from Range: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika.

The following are the duties of the writer, reviewer, section editor and editor-in-chief.

Author Duties:

  1. The articles sent by the author are the result of original, honest thoughts and research, free from plagiarism and data manipulation.
  2. The submitted article has never been published and/or is in the process of being submitted to another journal.
  3. Quotations in the manuscript must be accompanied by a clear source of quotation and included in the reference.
  4. Every personnel (student or supervisor) who is included in the research scheme must be included as an author.
  5. Corresponding author ensures input the metadata in OJS properly, such as all authors and email data in contributor list column, title, abstract, references, and funding source in supporting agency column.

Reviewer Duties:

  1. Reviewers are responsible for recommending the suitability of publication of the submitted manuscript.
  2. Reviewers have the right to provide criticism and suggestions aimed at improving the quality of the submitted manuscript.
  3. Reviewer may refuse to review any submission due to a conflict of interest or insufficient knowledge.
  4. Review all submissions objectively, fairly and professionally.
  5. Reviewer must ensure the authenticity of submissions and guard against plagiarism and excessive publication.
  6. Reviewer adhere to the time allocated for the review process.
  7. Requests for extensions to review submissions are at the discretion of the editor-in-chief.

Editor Duties:

  1. Actively contribute for development of journal.
  2. Act as a journal ambassador.
  3. Continue to support and promote the journal.
  4. Carry out tasks assigned by the chief editor.
  5. Review the work assigned of.

Editor-in-chief:

  1. Responsible for determining articles that will be included in the review process.
  2. Evaluate the article fairly and intellectually.
  3. Ensure the confidentiality of the manuscript and do not disclose any information about the manuscript to anyone other than those involved in the publishing process.
  4. Responsible for deciding when and which articles will be published through editorial board meetings.
  5. Actively seek the views of editorial team members and reviewers on how to improve/increase the image and visibility of the journal.
  6. Provide clear instructions to potential contributors regarding the submission process and what is expected of authors.
  7. Ensure that the right reviewer is selected for the review process.
